Artist-In-Residence

JUNE, 2019

Doing our work—fundraising, nonprofit consulting—requires the entirety of our hearts and minds. And the arts have a strong role to play in inspiring us and enlivening us.

That’s why I’m delighted to announce that we have named our first-ever Artist-in-Residence, Eleni Zatz Litt, founder of Yellow Ladder Studios. She will help us to reflect on our work, to build the strength of our team—and to play.

Our team will gather for our first workshop, entitled “It’s in Our Hands,” tomorrow. RHI team members from London, Washington, Canada, Virginia, and New York will participate virtually in making art, bringing focus and clarity to the work of our minds—and our hearts.

We are thrilled that Dr. Litt will serve in this role. She is a teaching artist who tells a story or expresses a feeling with line, color, form, and words. She loves to make art in community and to find the story that emerges from playing with shapes and colors. She has a Ph.D. in social anthropology from the London School of Economics (as do two of the RHI team members). She also has earned Certificates in Fine Arts from Parsons School of Design and Creative Arts Therapies from The New School where she works as Associate Provost of Faculty Affairs.

Watch this space for updates on how we enlist and benefit from Dr. Litt as artist-in-residence at Robin Heller International.
